The Lake Cumberland Area Development District provides services in the areas of Planning, Community & Economic Development, Workforce Development, and Aging & Independent Living. The District serves as extended staff to the region, matching resources to the needs of communities within the entire 10 county area. All services provided by the Lake Cumberland Area Development District are coordinated through the Administration and Finance Department. This team is responsible for the overall administration and oversight of the Area Development District.

In addition to providing financial management for the agency, the Finance Department provides bookkeeping and financial services to approximately 200 community & economic development projects within the 10 county area.

The Administration Department also offers public administration and technical assistance to the cities, counties, and special districts within the area development district. Public administration services provided include compliance support, budget development, regulation research as well as other services not otherwise covered by the other departments within the area development district. Technical assistance is provided upon request.
